Inverness City Councilmembers and City staff gather for ground breaking
City leaders and staff gather at the intersection of Hill Street in Osceola Avenue to mark the start of the Hill Street Improvement project.
The road project consists of reclamation and rehabilitation of a mile of roadway being the entire length of Hill Street from US Highway 41 South (near SunTrust Bank and Brannen Bank) to South Line Avenue. Additionally, the project will also include a portion of South Park Avenue from Hill Street to East Relief Street and East Relief Street to South Apopka Avenue. This road project will improve and beautify the road, remove potholes and work to ease traffic congestion. The overall duration of the project is expected to take 60 to 90 days, weather permitting.
The project brings road closures and detours as needed, residents and businesses will maintain access throughout of the project. The intersection of South Apopka Avenue and Hill Street are scheduled to be closed starting Friday, July 17, 2020 through Sunday July 19, 2020.
