The City encourages visitors to enjoy its parks. From wooded forests, a 46-mile paved trail, and lakeside vistas there is something for everyone. Limited activities allow for CDC guidelines to be followed. These include walking, biking, jogging, hiking, tennis, shuffleboard, pickleball and disc golf.
The City urges boaters to enjoy the lakes safely. City boat ramps are open and an uptick in boating traffic is expected over the busy Memorial weekend. City Inverness offers a reminder that Florida Fish and Wildlife Executive Order 20-13 rescinds FWC EO 20-09 related to recreational vessel anchoring and occupancy regulations for all waters of the state.
