Inverness Little League: Baseball and Softball

The City of Inverness recreation facilities at Whispering Pines Park is home to over 500 Citrus County children registered with the Inverness Little League program. The Parks and Recreation Department has accomodated close to 500 league games and over 1000 hours of practice time per year. Those numbers surpass usage of any major league field in the nation.

Inverness Storm Football

The Inverness Storm Football League and Storm Cheerleaders practice at the Whispering Pines Park facility. All games are played at Citrus High School Football Field.

Citrus United Soccer

While not home-based at Whispering Pines Park, soccer play and fields can be found just outside the city limits at Holden Park. The Citrus United Youth Soccer Organization provides the organization and opportunity for youths to compete at all levels. For league information visit the Citrus United website. Rowing Organization of Citrus County Students Sculling & Sweep Rowing (ROCCS)

ROCCS is a non-profit educational and recreational organization serving the residents of Citrus County.
