Taste of Inverness
Work up your appetite for the Taste of Inverness, a collection of local eateries combining their tasty samples with the sounds of jazz and swing music, while local artists showcase their masterpieces. Wine tasting under the stars and more, complete this great night of friends and fun for charity.   

Patriotic Evening
A night of fireworks, food, fun and entertainment. Patriotic Evening is Inverness’ brand of a Fourth of July celebration, held on July 3rd from 5-10pm. You can view the fireworks from two beautiful lakeside locations as well as other spots throughout town.       

Great American Cooter Festival
One of Florida's most unique events, boasting more activities than you can shake a tail at. Activities begin as early as October 1st and culminate the last weekend of October.  During the final weekend, three days of fun for the whole family are offered.  You can enjoy such events as Cooterween, a fun day of live music, dancing, rides, food, craft booths and a costume contest, and The Great American Cooter Blast, eight hours of family activities and contests. Click here to be transported to the official Cooterfestival website.           

Festival of the Arts
The first full weekend each November, this juried arts show transforms the streets of historic downtown Inverness into a magical land of fine art and craftsmanship.  Visitors will enjoy the works and atmosphere of specialty shops, a museum, fine eateries and much more.
