The City of Inverness invites everyone to join in the remembrance of those who lost their lives on 9/11, as well as recognize all men and women, from firefighters and police officers to those in the military, who serve and protect our freedom.

The event includes a memorial exhibit in the Council Chambers of the Inverness Government Center, as well as a short evening presentation with a symbolic freedom walk to the historic courthouse and back.

Vehicles and equipment from various law enforcement and emergency response agencies assemble in the city hall parking lot.

This has become a very meaningful experience for those who turn out, and crowds continue to get larger every year.

2010 marks the fourth year the City will host this event; the ninth anniversary of the attacks. The ceremony is on a Saturday this year.
