North Apopka Boat Ramp
North Apopka Boat Ramp
The boat ramp provides access to Little and Big Lake Henderson and the Tsala Apopka Lake chain. It's most suitable for smaller watercraft, including kayaks and canoes.

Picnic tables and a grill are also on site, providing a quieter spot for a lunch. There is limited parking for vehicles and boat trailers, and the ramp is within walking distance of Liberty Park, Wallace Brooks Park and numerous shops and restaurants downtown.

The ramp is one of two in City limits; the second is off State Road 44 East across from Wayside Park.

Hours
Sunrise to sunset, seven days a week.

Temporary Boat Ramp Closure

The N. Apopka Boat Ramp will be closed due to the construction of a Water Quality Project undertaken by the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners. The boat ramp will be closed beginning March 30, 2009 and is currently scheduled to reopen on July 25, 2009. It is the goal of the County to complete the project ahead of schedule.

The stormwater improvement project, which is partially funded through a Southwest Florida Water Management District grant, was awarded to Pospiech Contracting of Inverness.

Public access to Big Lake Henderson will continue to be available from the public boat ramp on S.R. 44 West. For additional information contact Citrus County Department of Water Resources at 527-7650.
