Introduction to Recreational Kayaking - July 17
Matt Clemons of Aardvark’s Florida Kayak Company will teach the class, which is designed for newcomers to kayaking as well as those wishing to brush up on basic paddling skills. The class will begin with water safety instruction, then participants will then have an opportunity to paddle and learn about different boat (kayak) models; recreational, sit-on, top, and sea kayaks. Class instruction will include the following topics: physics of kayak motion, boast handling, various strokes (power stroke), safe transport, shallow water entry and exit. Participants must be at least 16-years-old to take the class. Personal Flotation Devices must be used.
