Electric Vehicle Stations Have Arrived!

The City EV Stations are now active with 3 locations.

The electric vehicle chargers in the City of Inverness are active and ready to use! We are proud to provide you with 3 locations in the Downtown Inverness area, each with 2 charging stations.

  • Inverness Government Center (Inverness City Hall) - 212 W. Main Street
  • Brannen Bank parking lot - 200 W. Main Street
  • North Pine Avenue parking lot - 208 North Pine Avenue

On October 1, 2019, City Council approved a grant agreement with Duke Energy for 6 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. The City then worked diligently to further plan, organize, and put the charging stations into place. Alongside Duke Energy, we have set-up a program with Greenlots to bring you a fixed low cost for use. For example, if you have a vehicle with a 50kWh battery and have an average range of 200 miles, that’s only $5.75 for a full charge or $0.03 per mile!

The City of Inverness believes in a Small Town Done Right ideal, but we also believe in being progressive and making moves that not only better our lives, but also our environment.
