The Vision Begins.....

LP 5

The City of Inverness has an important announcement that will impact residents and visitors starting in November 2018.

The City is preparing for its next chapter with the start of the construction of the Inverness Depot District which will bring a dynamic energy to downtown with major improvements to Liberty Park and Wallace Brooks park. These parks will close starting in November for approximately 11 months as crews rebuild these parks for today’s generation. These parks are situated along the Withlacoochee State Trail, which draws over 400,000 visitors each year—only increasing the need for enhancements. Residents and visitors may look forward to increased parking, restrooms, terracing, stages, playground equipment, boat docks, safety features and the addition of the open air market with beautification projects throughout the district. While the parks are under construction, we will not be able to accommodate reservations at these two parks until their reopening. Your favorite small town done right festival locations may be relocated on a case-by-case basis, and will be posted to our website calendar on SmallTownDoneRight.com.
