The City of Inverness is planning two public art projects that will debut to the community in the Fall of 2022. These projects are only open to artists who are residents of Citrus County.
The first project is an outdoor bicycle display. Five bikes will be placed around the downtown business district, each designed and created by an individual artist or artist team. Any medium can be used. The only requirement is media/artwork withstand outdoor conditions for one year. The stipend for this project is $1,000.
The second project are vinyl wraps on the downtown waste receptacles. Each of the wraps will feature the artwork of a different artist. The artist will receive a Photoshop template onto which they can create a digital design or transfer a digital image of their artwork. The artwork must be 144 dpi, RGB format, and a PDF, High Res JPEG, or TIFF file. The stipend for this project is $500.
