Road closures are scheduled to begin on December 2, 2021 to accommodate installation of site improvements at the former Regions Bank. This site is located at 809 W. Main St. in Inverness. All work within the roadways will occur within daylight hours with no overnight lane closures. Road closures will be phased to reduce impacts to traffic, please see timeline and specific details of roadway closures below.
Trout Avenue 12/02/2021-12/03/2021, 12/06/2021
Beginning Thursday December 2nd, the Northbound Lane of Talmage Avenue will be closed South of Tomkins Street. Talmage Avenue North of Tompkins is accessible by using detour route of US 41 North to Davidson Ave. The Southbound lane of Talmage Avenue will remain open during construction. The roadway will reopen for traffic on the evening of December 6th.
Talmage Avenue 12/07/2021-12/08/2021:
Beginning Tuesday December 7th, the Eastbound lane of Tompkins Street and South sidewalk will be closed between Talmage Avenue and Trout Avenue. Detours will be provided to direct Eastbound traffic North on Talmage Avenue to East on W Dampier Street and South on Trout Avenue. Pedestrians should use the North sidewalk to avoid the construction area. Westbound Tompkins will remain open during construction. The roadway will reopen for traffic on the evening of December 8th.
Tompkins Street 12/09/2021-12/10/2021:
Beginning Thursday December 9th, the Southbound lane of Trout Avenue will be closed South of Tompkins. Cherry Avenue is identified as a detour for traffic connection to West Main Street (US 44). The Northbound Lane of Trout Avenue will remain open during construction. The roadway will reopen for traffic on the evening of December 10th.
