Join the City of Inverness for the 9-11 Freedom Walk and Ceremony in recognition of the 20th anniversary on Saturday, September 11, 2021. The public is asked to gather at Wallace Brooks Park at 8:00 a.m., and the walk will begin at 8:15 a.m. Attendees will walk to the 9-11 Memorial in Liberty Park. At 8:30 a.m. the Mayor Plaisted will welcome the attendees, and Mr. Andy Tarpey will lead the 9-11 remembrance and wreath laying ceremony.
Covid Precautions
This year’s walk has been modified due to Covid and recommends participants keep at least six feet away from members not in their household or group at this outdoor event. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available at the event.
